Hey friends! Sorry it has taken me so long to post a fab project for you today! I was out bargain hunting with my mom, lets just say we hit the mother load!
Now on to the business ;)! I came across the cutest idea a couple weeks ago that I thought to put my own spin on it and add to it. It was a journal to put your creative ideas in. So sorry I forgot what site it was (don't ya hate that!), if you guys know who's it is or where you have seen it please let me know so I can give them credit! Much THX!!
I really have been needing a journal of some sort to store ideas for future projects and such so I came with this!!

Materials you will need:
-Composition Notebooks
{I found 2 of mine for $1.00 each at Target and I purchased the third one at the D.I./local Utah thrift store for $0.75!!}
-Mod Podge
-Sponge brush to apply Mod Podge
-Various Scrapbook Paper
-I used magazine clippings that inspired me for the pages inside but you can just write things down or whatev is best for you.
Directions:
1. Pick out paper that is pleasing.
2. Apply a layer of Mod Podge to the notebook to adhere your chosen paper.
3. Let dry.
4. Trim off excess.
5. Repeat to other sides.
6. Make and print off labels for the front of your notebook to describe its contents.
7. Adhere with Mod Podge.
8. Apply a layer of Mod Podge to all sides of the book to seal.
9. Fill your little books to your hearts content!
10. As I said earlier I added magazine pic's into mine with my own little notes next to them.

Lets get up close mmmk!
{Cook Me}
{Cook Me is filled with all kinds of recipes I find in magazines like these Rocky Road Shortbread Cookies....uh yummm!!}
{Inspire Me}
{Inspire me is filled with all things that inspire me creatively, most of the stuff is home decor.}
{Wear Me}
{Wear Me is filled with everything and anything fashion! LOVE THIS!! It is super nice as well to keep track of trends.}
{Had to share this girls hair with you I am obsessed!! Hopefully mine will look like this when it grows about 5 more inches!}

such a great idea, and much cuter than my sad 3 ring binder. i only have the decorating inspiration notebook so far. i definitely need to add the cooking and fashion ones as well. i think this is such a great way to declutter your home by only saving the magazine pages you need.
ReplyDeleteGood Idea. I am always storing my ideas in various notebooks, then I can't find the recipe, or fabric when I want it.
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you!!
I am totally going to make these. I love your hair short in your picture, but I am sure it will look gorgeous long too!
ReplyDeleteOh what a great DIY project. You are one clever and crafty girl.
ReplyDeleteI just finished a project that took 23 years to complete.
Come take a peek.
Very cute idea. My recipes are mostly printouts just in a bulging file folder, your idea is much cuter :)
ReplyDeleteSO cute and clever! Love the fabric combos, they are smashing. But are you sure there is enough room in these notebooks? You have a very creative mind, so maybe these are just Volume 1.
ReplyDeleteThat's super cute!!! Visiting from Coastal Charm's linky party

ReplyDeleteI love this idea!! Thank you for sharing this with us. I must share it with more people! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. I have a binder for decor inspiration but I'm not much of a cook so these little cuties would be perfect for what i would pull together. I like the wear me one too. I have just cut outfits out and put them on a bulletin board in my closet. This is so much cuter and takes up less space. Thanks for the idea.
ReplyDeletePam
