Weekend Wear #2

May 30, 2010

Hey Friends!! Guess what? It's time for Weekend Wear!

I wore this outfit to church today:
{Love the print on this tee! Its a herringbone print but it really reminded me of a Chevron Pattern that I have been seeing everywhere in the home decor world!}

{I love to throw in a weird color with my outfits that don't always "go." It's fun and original. Like my teal watch, I love how the red orange and teal play off of each other. It's a fun combo you totally need to try!}

{My hairdo inspiration came from the BEAUTIFUL Gwyneth Paltrow in Iron Man 2. LOVE her and loved her full bang and sleek pony tails throughout the show! Plus her name is Virginia Pepper in the movie....love!!}

{Ahhh the shoes ;) seriously can never have too many! These reminded me of some sky high Christian Louboutin Espadrilles.....but not as nice.......or expensive........so mainly just how high they were reminded me of them ;)!}

I like to call this my Uber Thrifty Outfit! Because everything was so super on the cheap!

The Breakdown:

~Cardigan: Target, FREE with coupon overage!! Coupon overage happens when you have a coupon that is worth more than the item that you are buying, ex: say you have a $3 coupon for hot dogs, but the hot dogs are on sale for $1.50, that leaves you with $1.50 towards something else. Comprend-a?

~Shade Top: Plato's Closet, FREE with credit.

~Gap Skirt: Thrifted, $6.00. I bought even though it was a little on the big side for me but I like when my skirts sit lower on my waist since I have a long torso.

~Platform Espadrilles: Plato's Closet, FREE with credit.

~Amazing Nixon Bamboo Inlaid Watch: Gift ;).

~Oversized White Ring/I like to call it the scallop ring too ;): Logan City Fair last year, $3.00 also seen HERE.

Here's some great tips:

~When you get sick of some of your clothes, instead of taking them to a local thrift store, take them to a consignment store! You can possibly make a little extra dough or trade them in for some new-ish pieces. It can really save you some cash!!

~Don't be afraid to not be so matchy matchy. Live a little on the corky side, it's more fun ;).

~Take current trends and make them "You"!

So what do you guys think? Hope you all are having a great weekend! Me and the hubs plan on getting some stuff done around our parts and bustin out the grill tomorrow! If you have any questions about Weekend Wear, or what to wear, or whatever in general let me know! I am always MORE than happy to help!! Love, love.
