First off:
Happy Birthday America!!!
Love your biggest fan....ME!
How was your guys' weekend? Mine was so great! Full of parade going, bbqing, carnival food eating, red white and blue wearing, firework exploding AWESOMENESS!!!
Here is my patriotic outfit I wore today to church and a fireside:

Outfit Deetz:
~Red Top: Target FREE with coupon overage!! Coupon overage is when you have a coupon that is worth more than the actual item that you are purchasing therefore you can use the excess on something else!
~White Cami: Downeast $2.50! I used to work there and also worked at a clearance center so I was able to score a major deal! Check out Downeast Clearance centers and also their warehouse for awesome deals like I got!
~Blue and White Stripe Skirt: I MADE IT!!!! First I tried this tutorial from Freshly Picked, it was too hard for me I was so confused with the sewing on of the elastic! Then I tried this tutorial from What A Nerd Would Wear.....my waist band looked so so funky! I then tried this tutorial from Ruffles and Stuff and it worked!! Wahoo! I purchased my seersucker fabric at JoAnn's along with the elastic. If you want to make one like I did try out these tutorials they are great I am just a little sewing challenged and don't have any patience ;).
~Crochet Espadrilles Circa 2005: Old Navy $7.99 end of year CLEARANCE!!
~Big Bead Bracelets: Charlotte Russe $5.00. I actually bought these for me and the hubs wedding lunch...Romantic!!
~Red Shoulder Bag: Target $3.74 CLEARANCE!!

love the outfit and REALLY love the patriotic nail polish...so cute :) Happy 4th!
ReplyDeletegreat outfit and nice job on the skirt! I love your glittery nails. It's probably the only time of the year where you can get away with 3 different colors of nail polish.
ReplyDeleteEven your fingernails are patriotic?!?!? Very festive and cute.
ReplyDeleteFestive & Affordable... can't do better than that. Glad you had a great Fourth!

Love your outfit, and that you made the skirt yourself!!! This is my first week participating, and I'm afraid the picnics and the heatwave we're experiencing right now, made for a very casual week!! But yes, I'm always open to suggestion, if you have any!! I didn't get to dress up too much, but I agree! Holidays are lots of fun to dress up for!.. Have a great week! ~tina
