So it begins!!
I cannot believe I signed up for this crazy shenanigan!!
Here is what I wore today:
This look is for sure lumberjack chic!
{Polar Bear Vest (Faux of course!!): Plato's Closet, Gingham Top: Old Navy, Green Skinny Cargos: Target, Boots: Target, Belt: Target, Knit Beret: F21}
So let me ask this does anyone else think its weird when a couple says:
"We're pregnant!!"
Pretty sure there is only one person pregnant in the relationship...and it's not the man even though we wish it worked that way sometimes ;)!
NO!! NO!! NO!!
I am not pregnant!! I have informed hubby that whenever that happens DO NOT say we are pregnant...it's super awk and weirdy. But I am probably just super awk and weirdy though!!
I really want to make these cookies
Homemade Girl Scout Cookies: Samoas or Carmel Carmel deLites
While my head is saying no no NO! My cellulite is saying yes yes YES we want more dimply friends!
But it is sooo much easier just to buy some right?
So I come to you guys anyone know of any Girl Scouts selling cookies in UT??
Why don't they sell those bad boys at the store??
Let me know!!
Love, love.
" While my head is saying no no NO! My cellulite is saying yes yes YES we want more dimply friends!"
ReplyDeleteThat literally made me laugh out loud!! cute outfit!I love lumberjack anything
Love your sunny hat! I've got a similar one that I'm hoping to whip out sometime this month. =) And I have to say, I like the "We're pregnant" line. I know my husband can't carry a baby like I can and hopefully will one day, but I like the idea that both partners are going through the pregnancy process together - both sacrificing, both taking joy in that journey. I fully intend to do what I can to make sure he's really involved in my pregnancy - maybe I'll ask him to wear one of those bellies. =) But I also am cool with saying "I'm pregnant" or, as a middle alternative that works, "We're having a baby."
ReplyDeleteMy momma made that exact recipe for me. Amazing. Let the cellulite win this battle. They are worth it.
ReplyDeleteVery cute!! I wish I could come up with outfits like this... once I get my wardrobe in order, I'm going to participate in one of these 30 for 30 challenges!
ReplyDeleteI also find it odd to say "we're pregnant" - never understood that one.
Hahaha, I was that exact same way about "we are pregnant" thing...and then I became pregnant, and somehow it seriously just slips out of your mouth whether you want it to or not! :)
ReplyDeleteI wish I could pull of your style. I live vicariously through you. One day I'll get the hang of it and take out time to spend on simply me.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the Girl Scout cookies go, they don't say the exact brand in stores, HOWEVER Western Family has VERY similar cookies. I am not sure about the Carmel Carmel deLites but I know their Samoa's or rather caramel coconut cookies are just as tasty! At least I think so. it was kind of the end of me once I discovered these in the store. Oh and BONUS they are half the price!!
Love the vest! I need a add a few to my closet. They way you mix colors looks so effortless. I'm possibly a wee bit jealous.
ReplyDeleteI've found a few girl scout cookie recipes that I want to try. I just haven't gotten around to it yet. In Utah, I think last weekend was the order deadline. You'll have to wait until they are delivered and then hunt down a grocery store stand.
I also hate it when people say "we're pregnant!"
ReplyDeletelove the lumberjack look!
You look beautiful! As usual:-) The white west was awfully cute! I agree with you! A couple saying THEY are pregnant is both annoying and untrue!
ReplyDeleteCompletely agree. It's awkward and weird. But I love that outfit you have on! So cute! I have a knit beret just like yours! If it were up to me I'd never take it off :)
ReplyDeleteLove it friend!!! I needed some inspiration on how to wear fur. It always intimidates me... Good Luck on your 30 for 30 challenge. Wish I was doing it but i'm already so stressed with school... BOO!
ReplyDeletelooks awesome!!! and I'm also doubting the joining of this "crazy shenanigan!"
ReplyDeleteCardigans and Cookie Dough
I don't min the "we are pregnant" phrase, but "preggers" or "preggo" drives me absolutely crazy!!! I can't stand it!
ReplyDeleteps love the outfit.
i love the beret!!!! it's cute!
ReplyDeleteVery cute lumberjack chic, great color and texture combos!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! That is hilarious and so weird that people actually say that. It's kind of like, "we're going to grad school" when only the guy is. NO, YOU"RE not going to grad school. HE is. Oh boy.
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! Yes I HATE it when couples say that! So lame. I dig the lumberjack outfit. And Yes those cookies sound dank! Why do they torture us and only sell them every so often and then we have to wait for them to be delivered. lame.
ReplyDeletei don´t speak english but yhis post is really nice...

I totally wish I had some cookies right now. I also find it weird that people say "we're" pregnant. Too bad when the woman is tired, she can't just swap the baby to the man. Haha!
ReplyDeleteJust Better Together
Comment number 1: I think it's ok to say "We're pregnant, only for the fact that it took two of you to make it happen in the first place..... And the guy should be a part of it as much as possible. Even if they are not actually the one carrying the baby. But really thought you were going to make an announcement.... I would be soooo happy!
ReplyDeleteComment #2: I'm totally going to make those cookies. Those are my favorite to buy, and I can't wait for them to start selling them again in the spring.
Comment #3 I liked the comment from the person that doesn't speak English.
I know. I find that weird too. "We are pregnant!" Ahem... good for you, I guess. LOL. So with you on this.
ReplyDeleteLove the hat. And just got to know about the challenge. Will be joining in from tomorrow.
They are totally selling online (http://www.girlscoutcookies.org) starting this year... the only drawback is that you have to buy six boxes! But you need that many to get through the year, right??
ReplyDeleteI just overcame a startling lack of girl scout cookies, I completely feel your pain. Homemade one sounds even better though!
