Do you guys remember these pics of fruit, with a botanical art vibe I found at Savers a little bit ago? I finally got around to finishing them up...and can I just say I'm in love? Here is the B&A:
I love how much brighter, and fresh looking they are. I used the same technique with these pics as I did with my Living Room Floral Art by covering the mats with muslin...But umm I made a crucial mistake, see I just snip and rip my fabric down length wise...Well the fabric was woven off bias so after I ripped the fabric down, there was one side that was the correct width and the other end was well, the size of a pencil eraser..Not good friends, not good. So I decided to rip the entire sheet of fabric I had left over into 1.5 in. strips and layering them over top of each other to cover the mats...So now they look sort of mummyish...Which I'm fine with...They remind me of Halloween...Which I LOVE! I then primed and painted the frames, distressed them, and adding a titch of antiquing ink to the edges. Then I hung them on either side of this vintage print I got from a Robert's going out of business sale!
I really want to get a cursive "eat" sign to go above the vintage print to complete the wall I LOVE the one Love Stitched has in her kitchen, but perhaps in a different color.

Girl, you got skillz. And I thought the layered fabric looked like planks of wood, not mummies. Seriously though, love what you do with your house. So gorgeous!
