While you are pondering why don't ya go ahead and enter...It could take your mind of the craziness ;). Love lovess.
We get that question all the time. I really don't know why. lol

People just don't think about the words that are coming out of their mouths sometimes, do they? Especially in Utah. Sorry! I love this outfit, though! That top is my kind of top, kinda baggy and flowy. Perfect for summer. You look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteamy day to day
What?!! Some people....need to think before they speak!
ReplyDeleteAt least you look like you could be perpetually 22....which is a good thing:)
Love stripes and that T!
hahaha that question is too funny! wow, you guys are all grown-up. ;)
ReplyDeletelove the outfit, girl!!
For some reason people think kid questions are ok to ask. No matter what the question is. It's strange. I just had a baby and I already get asked if I am going to have another.

aw crap, that means you're entering old people territory (i can say this because i'm older than you)! you're at the age where people are expecting you to have kids. oh man. at least you're married; i get it all the time & i don't even have a boyfriend! that knocks my socks RIGHT off.
ReplyDeletei love your shirt here. it looks so wonderfully comfortable. since the weather is horrendous where i live right now, all i want are comfy warm things to wear.
have a great day!

awkwardly chic
Oh gosh! I haven't got that one yet but I always get asked when I am getting married. Umm...not anytime soon! Geezzz people, what happened to asking about the weather!?
ReplyDeleteYou should just be like I have 5 kids! Yeah be jealous of my banging body!! Haha kidding that's crazy!
ReplyDeleteLove your hair up! Looks great! Dont worry about the kid comment...something so small shoulnt be able to make a weekend crappy!
ReplyDeleteOh no! I got asked if I had kids for the first time the other day and I think my jaw dropped. I wanted to say, "I'm 24 and unmarried! So, um NO!" Then, of course, you wonder if you look old or like a mom (and not a cool mom, obviously). I love the fact that your husband didn't notice. Haha. Boys.
ReplyDeleteSo far I've never been asked either. Hmm. I feel like I've been absent from the blogging world for awhile (moving, finding a job, getting sick- bleh) but I had to pop in and say that you look fabulous with your hair pulled up!! I don't think I've ever seen it up like this before.

That's hilarious friend. I'm sorry!! You should just start telling people you don't want kids then maybe they'll back off ha ha
ReplyDeletei know just how you feel... im like that but with the when are you getting married question ugh !! you look fabulous by the way
ReplyDeleteMan--like people expect married couples to have kids these days? It's crazy. I really am tired of family and friends asking when we're going to have kids--I'm in school! I want to finish my Master's and start a career...once I was told this made me selfish. It's just crazy to me to think of having a child when I don't even have a career or my footing yet. How could I support a child without a well-paying job these days??? Seriously, what are people thinking now-a-days?
ReplyDeleteWow, sorry--these sort of things get me a little heated. Won't happen again!
Love this fun outfit by the way!
I hate those questions! It's worse when no fewer than 7 people IN YOUR OWN FAMILY ask you if you're dating someone or WORSE "why aren't you married yet?"
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit and I'm heading now to enter your giveaway! :)
xx

lovely!

Cassie also commented how she is working on her career and getting financially stable before she has kids and how people say she's selfish for doing that. I totally agree with her: what are these people thinking?! Every baby is a blessing, but I feel that you need to not only have grown in your marriage/relationship, but also have grown as an individual (career, hobbies, friends, etc.) AND both be prepared financially, emotionally, etc.
ReplyDeleteI was at a shower for my sister-in-law this weekend, and her future mother-in-law asked my SIL when she was going to have kids (i.e. make her a grandma). My SIL said, "We're thinking next summer." When MY MIL, her mom, heard this and responded that she needed to make sure they were prepared for a baby, my SIL's future MIL said, "Well, they already have a crib."
A crib? Pretty sure it takes much, much more to have a baby. This conversation drove me crazy and has been weighing on my heart this week because I feel they have no thought rationally about having a baby so soon into their marriage. (They are getting married this weekend.) It's probably not my business, but my husband said it is the family's business because we should advise and encourage one another to make right choices.
Sorry to rant, but I don't get this baby craziness! I mean, it would be the couple taking care of and raising a baby--not the people asking! UGH!
THat is hilarious and ridiculous! ONLY IN UTAH do you get asked stuff like that. lol
ReplyDeletelove this look, definitely casual-chic!
ReplyDeleteHmmm. so how many kids do you have? Kidding.
ReplyDeletehaha WOW i alway get "WOW youre 23??? you look 18" so maybe its cool your a big grown up!

I loooovee your outfit. Something I would totally wear. Recently my mom and I were in a baby store buying shower gifts for a friend. When we got to the register loaded up with stuff the sales girl looked at me then exclaimed to my mom, "OMG aren't you just so excited to be a grandma!?" My mom was miffed that she looks old enough to be a grandma (even though she is) and I was wondering what made me look with child.
ReplyDeletei love this outfit! totally something i would wear. comfy! :-)
ReplyDeleteWow. Why do people do that? I just don't understand. I constantly wonder how people say those things and don't catch themselves... or I wonder what I say that offends people, too.
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit!
ReplyDeleteI have a giveaway on my blog. Please check it out. Link to giveaway here!
:)
I love your bangs to the side like that! So cute! And people need to think before they talk. I have siblings were born in while I was in high school, and random people would ask me if my parents were done having kids. None ya! I would reply.
ReplyDeleteNorth Meets South
I LOVE the side swept bangs and what shoes are those!??! AND, Can I just say as a couple that struggled with fertility for over 5 years (yes we went thru it ALL...well just shy of IVF) it wasn't only awkward getting the "Well, when are you two gonna have some kids??" it was heartbreaking. Say, year 3 of trying, it actually felt like being scolded, like we were doing something wrong. I would cry. NOT in front of the "asker" but later, in private! BUT as you can see, we have our MIRACLE princess now!!
ReplyDeleteYou are so pretty! I love this outfit, it's casual but still chic!
ReplyDeleteJust start saying 12. "I have 12 children. We are working on becoming the new Duggers. Oh, you only have 2? Pity."
ReplyDeletewhile I agree it probably shouldn't be the first question someone asks you (kind of annoying) I don't think its that big of a deal either. Used to bug me before I had kids but now...
ReplyDeleteHowever I do think people need to be mindful of couples who are secretly trying to conceive and having difficulty.
btw, you don't know me, just stalking some fashion blogs. cute outfits!
