Guys! I can't believe I haven't told you where we are going on our little vacay next week!! We're heading off to the city of sin, Las Vegas...Or the Utah poor man's vacation spot ;). We found an awesome deal through Southwest Airlines, and couldn't resist...Also I'm sad to say this we haven't been on a vacation just us two since our honeymoon!!
We plan to spend our days by the pool soaking up some sweet rays (since here in the beehive state things have been sooo DREARY!). I also have it on the itinerary to shop till I drop at the ginormous H&M, and we have tickets to see The Lion King!!
Other than that guys, we got nothing...I did hear that there is a Max Brenner's down there which we LooooOve! Do you guys have any recommendations on places to eat? Places to see? Things to do? I would sure appreciate it!!
Funny thing is, is that hubby and I lived in a city right next to Vegas right after we got married! But all we did was work and never got to know the go to places. So any and all suggestions would be so greatly appreciated!
Also don't fret friends I have some of my really super amazing bloggy friends guest posting for ya'll next week! Hooray for meeting new people and for bloggy/real life friends! Thanks again guys! Love, love.
ps: Entered yet???
i am in love with those tights.

Fun! I love sunning and shopping in Vegas! For restaurants I recommend Mon Ami Gabi in the Paris hotel... brunch or dinner are AMAZING there! And another favorite of ours is Tacos & Tequila (the name of the restaurant) in the Luxor is REALLY good Mexican food!
ReplyDeleteHave fun!

ReplyDeleteand looove those tights and the way you did your hair - you look beautiful!
Oh yes you must see the fountains. So amazing. You are going to love Lion King. It's fanstatic! Vegas is so fun. I'm going to Vegas for my birthday in less than a month. We are going to see Mystere. Can't wait.

ReplyDeleteLove that vintage dress!! Oh and you are going to love the Lion King, its such an amazing show! Hmm, well take comfortable shoes because the best thing to do is walk the strip and check out all the randomness!

I've been to Vegas twice but didn't have sucha great time the second time around. I got food poisoning - so watch out! Don't eat at the Rio's American restaurant....it's bad news :) There is a good Mexican place to eat at right outside of Caesar's. But that's all I know. Have a good time and enjoy the Lion King - that sounds awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove this!!
ReplyDeleteAnd, have a great vacation.
Oooh how fun!! Yay for the vacay. You're gonna have a blast. Though I've never been, husband has, and he loves the Belagio mainly for their all you can eat buffer! You'll have to go there and snap a few pics for me ;)

This is one of my favorite outfits on you ever. Love the hair and the blazer.
ReplyDeleteVegas faves:
1. go to the Bellagio gardens
2. Go bride-spotting, esp. on the weekend there will be brides everywhere in the fancy hotels
3. Window shop at fancy shmancy stores
4. Then do go to the outlets - GREAT deals! The ones in the city, not the ones in Primm.
5. There are a few great sushi places that I love - on ein the Fashion Walk mall, that faces the strip
6. Frozen hot chocolate at Senendipity. Their food isn't so great tho, so go somewhere else for dinner
7. There is actually good hiking/running spots just outside the city -- and hoover Dam and Lake Mead of course
I think that's all I got! Can you tell that's where my in-laws live!?
Chocolate shop at Bellagio. I stop there whenever we hit Vegas. Also, soooo many places for good food. The pool and sun sound pretty much perfect to me.
ReplyDeleteThe buffet at the Mirage is so good! Have fun. I hear The Lion King is amazing, I want to see it.
ReplyDeleteYour outfit is cute. In Vegas I love to go the Mirage to see the animals and to eat I always go to The Capital Grille (http://www.thecapitalgrille.com/about/main.asp) It's a little pricey but the steak is out of this world!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Bre
Such a pretty dress! I think red is such a universally flattering color and you're rocking it ;p

Have a great vacation! I hope to get to Vegas sometime this year, so I can't wait to hear about all the fun you get into! :)
ReplyDeletegotta eat at serendipity on the strip by ceasars palace. and also go to . also our highlight of the trip was freemont street on the old strip... go at like 10:30. cause there are tons of shops, concerts, vendors, and then at 11 theres a lazer show. its was cool!
ReplyDeleteNo recommendations, but super cute outfit! I want to go to Vegas some day so I look forward to hearing about it. :]
ReplyDeleteYou look AMAZING! I absolutely love this outfit!!
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Vegas (I'm still 18, so it would be NO fun for me hahaha) but I hope you two have tons of fun! :)
ReplyDeleteyou have to go and see a magic show. nothing beats a vagas magic show. promise. we drove down just to see it and it was worth all the driving for a three hour show.
ReplyDeleteholy geez you guys need a vacation if its been 4 years since your last vacation!! I hope you guys have fun, but not TOO much fun, if you know what i mean :)

Two things that I love: Your dress and Vegas! I would definitely recommend the famous forum shops at Caesar's Palace, the restaurant at the top of the Eiffel Tower (kind of pricey but romantic), and the Bellagio fountain show. If you are in the mood for fun super cheesy touristy (A la National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation) then Hoover Dam, Fremont Street in the old part of town, and you must eat at at least one buffet! Craving at the Mirage or the buffet at the Bellagio are my favorites!
ReplyDeleteI love your style!

Battista's Hole In the Wall Italian Restaurant ... It is seriously a hole in the wall place with the menus on the wall ... but I promise it is fantastic. A block off the strip behind the Flamingo Hilton.
ReplyDeleteThe thing that surprised me the most about Vegas is the food prices ... but not here. I promise. It will not disappoint.
How fun! Hubby and I were oin Vegas for a getaway a few months ago and we had a great time! We stayed at the Paris hotel. I would suggest shopping at the Forum Shops at Caesars, of course (Yes, the H&M is insane!), get a frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity 3 (they have a quick order window where you can get it to go if you don't want to sit and order--they're like $10 each--be prepared), there's a very good little Italian restaurant at the Venecian hotel (a small restaurant but it was amazing), gelato at the Bellagio, The Cirque du Solie show "O" is far and away the most amazing thing ever, and just enjoying the fountains at the Bellagio at night. There's a lot of craziness in that city but also a lot of fun stuff as well. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteYOU look GORGEOUS!! I'm totally loving this look!!!
ReplyDeleteI lived in Vegas!! BUT it was so long ago I watched the Statosphere being built. I haven't been back since 96! So, my tips will be old but HOPEFULLY still good ones! You can not beat the Golden Nuggets breakfast buffet! My tummy is growling just thinking of it. Where ever you go make sure you visit the information booth and show them your out of state license. EVERYWHERE has some kinda of special for visitors. Sometimes it's just a free soda and sometimes it's a coupon book full of great deals! Fremont street is great and I hear it's still great! I lived a street away from it and we LOVED it! OH and stay away from the Olympic Garden, it hasn't nothing to do with gardens or the Olympics!! lol
The Bellagio fountains are prettier at night with the lights and they do a few songs, so try and see a couple of them. For the most part, stay away from the buffets...too many stories of people getting sick is not worth the risk. The forum shops at Ceasar's is kind of cool and there's a little fountain/statue show at the end by the restaurants (cheesecake factory there too). I think they still do an outside pirate show at Treasure Island. Wear good shoes for walking the strip or your feet will hate you. Check out Groupons Vegas for deals on stuff. I like the factory stores just off I-15 and Charleston, but there are some just off the strip(south). Macayos is where we go for Mexican, nothing fancy, but tasty. If you are in to rides, the NY NY roller coaster is fun, the Sahara coaster goes backwards, and the Big Shot on top of the Stratosphere is quite the rush (don't do the coaster there though)...also, if you go to old Vegas, the Fremont Street Experience is free and a night thing. I've heard the dinner/knights of the round table/tournament of kings show thing at the Excalibur is cool, but never have been myself. Prepare to see many naked bums ;)
ReplyDeletetights are fantastic, and the red color looks gorgeous on u,really complements your skin and hair color!:)

ReplyDeletei know you guys are going to have a great time! the weather should be good out there now. not too hot like it was last time i went in august. enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWe live in Vegas now. There's lots of fun, clean things to do here. Some of our favorites are:
ReplyDelete1. Bellagio fountains at night- so fun and beautiful.
2. Lions at the MGM grand- free and pretty cool
3. Drinks of the world at the coke factory
4. Shopping at the outlets- best are north of the strip charleston and i15
5. Serendipity 3 at Caesars Palace is fun. There desserts are huge. You can totally share.
6. Favorite fancy place- Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris. So good. Favorite normal food- cheesecake factory. Favorite fast-food- Raisin' Kanes
7. Nate might like the Shelby museum at the speedway up north.
8. Enjoy you time at the pool. It should be HOT. Summer has begun...
Have fun!!
