Guys I took the plunge...I am now on a diet...Well I like to call it a "Meal Plan," to trick my mind into thinking it isn't being too restricted. Now I won't bore you everyday with what I ate, I just need one post to get it out of my system ;). I decided a couple weeks ago that I needed to do something about my crap eating habits (a typical meal for me would consist of chips, a PB with extra PB, and a HUGE diet soda) and I wondered why I was gaining weight ;). I'm not doing anything drastic like going RAW (kudos to you guys who do it, I would have done it but couldn't get anyone to commit to watching my every eating move ;)!), I just am following Susan Summers (you know the thigh master lady and Step by Step alum ;)?) tips in her book, "Get Skinny On Fabulous Food." It's basically eating combinations of foods to help boost your metabolism and loose weight. I have already noticed a slight difference I feel like I have more energy and just feel good all around (knock on wood...don't jinx this self). Wish me luck friends, and good luck to all of you who are on a "Meal Plan" as well!! Love, love.
Best of luck. I'm trying to eat healthy too but i had a chocolate bar for breakfast :( so much for my meal plan... uggh
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with your "meal plan"! You definitely don't look like you need it! But it's always better to eat healthy and take "precautionary measures" and learn good eating habits. Speaking of, I need to learn some good eating habits myself! ;-)

ah girl I feel ya. I barely got to talk to you at the party. I was so bummed, but either way. Have no fear about the "meal plan", you seriously look great.
ReplyDeleteHehe you are too cute with your Jedi mind tricks. I hate the word diet too! Such bad connotation. Meal Plan is so much better ;)
ReplyDeleteKeep it up, doll!
xo
You look amazing on these photos!
ReplyDeleteReally,really pretty!
Good luck! It sounds like a good plan I definitely need to do something similar. I love your color in this outwfit its beautiful
ReplyDeletehaha This post reminded me of something hilarious. I dated this guy awhile ago and his dad was gong on one of Susan Summers but it was the "Slim and Sexy in Sixty days" or something like that. He always said "I got the sexy part down.. now I just gotta get the slim" So that's what I think of whenever I hear her name lol
ReplyDeleteI eat way crappy too. I started buying fruit from costco and whenever I walk past the fridge I grab a handful of berries or something. It definitely made my body feel better.
You look GEORGEOUSSss!! This might be my favorite outfit so far!! So bright and perfect for summer. I like "Meal Plan" much better than the word "Diet" too! More energy is a great sign!

You are making feel totally old by identifying Suzanne Somers with "Step by Step" and I am only 33!! "Come on knock on our door, we've been waiting for you..." ring any bells? No? dang.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your "meal plan". I'm on one too!
awesome outfit &post!!!!
ReplyDeletecongratulation honey!!=D

I'm wishing you luck! Well, not so much with the diet but with breaking habits. It's difficult in the beginning but by the end of the first month, you won't even have cravings! It's just the first month that's the hardest--you'll be fine and you look great already so don't sweat it!
ReplyDeletewishing you luck - cuz i seriously couldn't go on a diet. i like food way too much. :( so kudos to YOU, friend!!!
ReplyDeleteoh and p.s. LOVE the outfit. the colors are classic and stunning on you!!
ReplyDeleteBeing on an 'eating plan' is marginally better than being on a diet. We've been doing it for 12 months now, thanks to hubs' health, and it's getting better.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I have found is that, if you eat protein with every meal (fish, chicken, eggs) you tend to stay fuller, and eat less overall.
xoxo
Good luck with your meal plan! I love the bright colors, and the combination of the floral and dots is adorable!
ReplyDeleteyou are so gorgeous girl! sheesh!!! i feel your pain on the restrictions thing, i have stupid food allergies that i only recently found out about...i really feel SO much better not eating those foods but girl, i hate having to be careful about what i eat... i just want to eat cheese and drink chocolate milk!!!! i just try to imagine that i hate the foods i can't eat {totally doesnt work} but i have learned to love new foods so that is a plus..

girl, i hear ya! i'm trying to watch what i eat too... good luck! :)
ReplyDeleteUgh I'm so with you! I am currently trying to do the South Beach Diet but I think I'm going to call it a meal plan as well :) It makes me feel better! hehe
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I just started getting back into eating healthy too. I was doing really well in 2010 but had a rough, emotional start to 2011 that threw me off course. In fact I just made healthy blueberry muffins tonight! I also like to call diets lifestyle changes! Good Luck!

Ooh la la you look hot in those bright colors! That blush is a perfect color for summer. There's no way I could eat raw either. I've tried making dishes like raw lasagna and they are way too time consuming for me to stick with. I just cut out the junk food and try to run for 30 mins 5x a week and that works ok for now! And I LOVED Step by Step when I was a kid. I still remember every word of the theme song when they are at the amusement park :)
ReplyDeleteGoooooood Luck! Oh it has been a while since I left a comment, but don't worry I have been visiting, just not saying much. I have been in a funk and I too have started a new diet, errr I mean meal plan :). I have completed my first week of weight watchers, i like it so far.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you and good luck to me, we are both so fabulous that we deserve to feel fabulous ;)
That's awesome. Good for you! I need to do that too! Good luck!
ReplyDeletei love the bright florals with the polka dots!!! good luck with your meal plan! :)

You don't need to loose weight! but I do think it's awesome that you are going to eat more healthy! You really are what you eat, literally so it's good to put good things in your body. I think that should be the focus rather than weight.
ReplyDeleteOMG! This outfit is so perfect! I really like the colours!

You can do it! I find exercising helps me diet better because I don't want to blow my workout on something lame.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I just ate a bag of potato chips! Oh well.
Good luck dear! Being on a budget and a diet? You sure take on the challenges head on, good for you (you can do it!!!).
ReplyDeleteI love this floral top and the great colored sandals and I have to say: your hair looks particularly awesome today!

Go you Morgan! Yeah crazy people do raw diets haha you know who Iam talking about. But seriously you are TINY!!!! I mean it...so I don't know why you are dieting...but hope it makes you happy!
