Hi Meet Virginia Design readers!

I'm Erika of Rouge & Whimsy. I make pretty accessories and blog about life and the little things that make me smile on my blog. Come say hi! :)

Morgan asked the sponsors to do a little guest post about ourselves. It's a little daunting, so I thought I'd start by talking about how I started my Etsy shop.

I've always been interested in creating things, in fashion, in interior design-- all that good stuff. In fact I think if I had to pick, I'd have a hard time narrowing it down.

Once upon a time in high school I thought I was going to go to a fashion design school in Los Angeles but before I was going down for the tour I chickened out and decided to go to the nearby University of Washington. (It's a good thing that I did go there because I met my husband!)

Even now, out of school and a "grown-up," I can't pin down what I want to do.

so while I do have a "good" day job that I actually like, I decided that I needed an outlet for the creative passions that run through me.

enter Etsy.

Right now I sell hair accessories that remind me of a prettier, more feminine time and age but I feel like I have the freedom to expand or to go a different direction.

and that thrills me.

So today, I'm here, blogging about life and finding joy in making pretties for hair.

tomorrow? who knows?
