Style?

Backwards Cardi: Kmart?, Skirt: Thrifted, Shoes: Target, Necklace: Target, Earrings: Vintage

Have you ever thought of what kind of style is your favorite? I was reminded of this question the other day when I thought about my first day of class this past semester, my design teacher asked which interior design style we prefer. Of course since fashion and style are usually always on my brain I thought well what would I call my style...Hmmm I like vintage, indie, bohemian, classic, trendy, with a hint of rainbow explosion...Is that a style? Sure! Just throw all that in a blender and you have a Morgan style smoothie. Personally I think it should be right up there with the classic Audrey Hepburn. I can't help but think though if I am just indecisive (I just realized I am being indecisive about being indecisive...Oh Morgan what am I going to do with you girl??) with style or if this is just how it is for everyone. All I know is that I like to wear what makes me feel happy regardless if it fits into a specific type of style. I am however curious, what kind of style do you prefer? I know it's a Morgan Smoothie right ;). Love you guys!

ps: LOVING this idea of wearing a backwards cardi! What do you think?

  2. Audrey Hepburn is a great model to live up to... unfortunately I don't have a body style that allows for much mimicking but you do so rock that!

  8. I know what you mean about being indicisive about your design style. I am pratty much a straight "contemporary" BUT when I see a really well designed vintage or country room my heart just melts. I'm working at finding ways in my home to incorporate more of a "country" flavor without being "grandma floral and plaid" That is the great things about design is that there is always an oppertunity to try something new! Enjoy reading your blog!

  23. I love, love, love your whole outfit! The leopard looks great with yellow and the backwards cardi is so classic and also vintage inspired. I'm glad someone else feels like I do about style. I can never make up my mind when I have to pick my style; I always want to be two completely opposite things! I think I am a vintage, neutral, summer pastels, brights, solids, graphic prints, American style classics smoothie. Yes...that sounds like a Thrifty Girl Vintage Smoothie!
