Do you ever have the feeling that you work for your blog? When in actuality your blog should work for you? I have been struggling with this ever since I went back to school. It's hard trying to juggle it all, I'm sure you bloggers can all agree with that. Blogging became a chore for me, almost like a job. I had the thought last week that I don't work for my blog, my blog needs to work for me. I mean where does it say that I have to post at least five times a week? Although I would still like to keep that up, but I have realized that it isn't life or death if I don't meet my five posts a week quota. I'm curious though, do you ever feel that way? I swear I do at least every couple of months! I do however love love love you guys, and love writing this blog and will try my darndest to post as much as I can.

  1. I do agree that blogging has become a job. Ever since I had my little one, I feel like I am neglecting my blog. I keep telling myself I am on maternity leave :)

  3. I completely understand where you are coming from, I feel the same way! I haven't posted a new blog for 2 weeks now and every time I go to write I draw a blank. Good luck to you my friend!

  4. Even though my blog is my personal blog. I still feel like that. I love it when I get comments. Its like the comments make me want to keep blogging (because my family doesn't even comment on our blog - lame right?). I set a goal at the beginning of the year to blog twice a week. That hasn't exactly happened. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I also feel like blogging is a job, and it shouldn't be. At least I know I'm not alone! :)

  5. Your blog should never become a chore. Try not to worry too much about it. Don't be afraid to take breaks. You need time to disconnect and recharge. I still love you :)

  6. I feel the same way sometimes. Instead of meeting a 5-post-per-week quota, I post every second day. I get one day off in between posts so it's nice :)

  7. I've had that feeling before I usually cure it by simply not posting that day and doing something that I REALLY want to instead. A day off usually cures my ails and makes me want to blog again :)
Love your maroon skinnies, such a great color.

  14. I just took a month-long break from my blog, and you know what? The world kept spinning! It was so nice to finally realize that I can post when I want and what I want. I'm the only person in charge of my blog and it's okay if I don't have time for it. If I'm not enjoying it, then the whole thing is pointless.

  15. We've talked about this before, and I still couldn't agree more with you. It's always hard finding that balance, but I say blog as long as you are enjoying blogging about what makes you happy. If it's not making you happy then there's no point to actually do it. I finally set in my mind that I blog for myself and my husband. Instead of blogging for other people, so I blog about anything that I really want to and that makes me happy. There are days where I just plain don't want to blog, so I don't and sit on the couch, snuggle up and catch up on some tv :) It's always great.

  19. Oh! I totally just went through that phase the last two weeks. It's so hard during school! I am in my senior year and I am taking a full course load so my blog has started to feel like a chore BUT I am feeling re-motivated and ready to get at'her again! Good luck with your schooling and blogging!

  20. I totally know what you're talking about. There's this struggle to keep posting as much as possible to keep your name and face out there but then it's like - I HAVE A LIFE TOO! I've been blogging for about 6 months so I beginning to feel the stress of it all. Especially now that I've gone back to school. (I started blogging around summer break). However, I only do about 2 posts per week, 7 or 8 for the month so that keeps me pretty sane. It's all about striking that balance I suppose.
